Opening of T&C Services for Project Engineers of Track Works of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project (MAHSR)

On 25th April 2023, Japan Railway Technical Service (JARTS) has started providing T&C (Training and Certification (= issue of Certificates)) Services in the Track Training Facility in Surat, India, for Project Engineers of Track Works for MAHSR (Under Package No. MAHSR-T-1, T-2 and T-3).

Based on Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) and JARTS in 2021, know-how concerning the slab track work of Japanese Shinkansen technology is to be imparted over a total of 15 training courses for Project Engineers of slab track works of MAHSR covering a distance of 508 km.

The first training was a Site Manager course conducted by a Japanese expert dispatched as an instructor to teach about 20 Indian engineers including observers from NHSRCL. During the training, vigorous Q&A sessions were held. The entire training received good reviews from the participants. Through the T&C Project, JARTS is making efforts to contribute to the progress of India's first high-speed rail project.
